Sales Manager - Thermal Systems

We have continued to improve the data center infrastructure implementation process over the last 30 years.

The Thermal Systems Sales Manager position will work with other Sales engineers and Coordinators to sell precision cooling products to end user accounts, contractors, consulting engineers, general contractors and construction managers. It includes responsibility for the entire sales & construction project from canvassing for leads to conception, budgeting, quoting, strategizing, negotiating, & closing. Also overseeing the project to completion for non-channel thermal & monitoring products that DVL represents and some strategic services that DVL provides including Control & Monitoring systems such as SiteScan and Trellis. 

 WHAT YOU WOULD BE DOING

  • Be proficient in the knowledge & application of critical thermal management systems and applicable services offered by represented manufacturers and DVL.
  • Expertise in configuring thermal management systems and be capable of presenting such solutions to customers of varying technical knowledge.
  • Manage and maintain existing customer relationships as the account owner.  This includes keeping current on all installed products and contracted services and ensuring the account is updated on new solution offerings.  Responsible to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Nurture and develop new assigned customers by demonstrating the ability to offer unique and beneficial solutions offered by DVL.
  • Create and deliver persuasive strategic and technical presentations that provide DVL a competitive advantage in the market.
  • Be diligent in establishing end-user relationships, and understand they are the core of our business.
  • Can read and interpret project documentation that may include bid specifications, technical drawings, and contract qualifications.
  • Develop a network of engineers and contractors that can be used to offer turnkey solutions to end-users.
  • Collaborate and engage with peer sales associates to enhance solution offerings.
  • Develop and maintain a professional network by participating in professional organizations aligned with the industry.
  • Maintain a current project forecast, account contacts and pertinent customer data in the CRM system

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY

  • Three to five years of related successful precision cooling products sales experience in the local market is required
  • Four-year engineering degree preferred
  • Experience with AutoCAD or Visio for preparation of technical materials that may include product schematics, single-line diagrams, or design & performance drawings.
  • Familiarity with the National Electric Code.
  • Basic understanding of applicable ASHRAE Standards
  • High level of the Microsoft Office Suite proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, PowerPoint)
  • A general understanding of the Construction Design-Bid Build & Design-Build processes
  • Valid Driver’s License required
