The Power Services Technician works with the DVL Power Systems and Engineering team. It includes being responsible for assisting senior Site Service and Service Power associates with projects such as constructing control panels, preventive maintenance, field wiring modifications and changes. It includes working with larger single phase and three-phase UPS equipment, various generators and various automatic transfer switches.

WHAT YOU WOULD BE DOING
- Safely, efficiently and properly assisting in performing load bank tests (UPS, Generator, etc.) and other general and simpler corrective maintenance procedures related to basic switchgear and ATS
- Accurately constructs control panels, field wiring modifications, changes, etc. under supervision
- Assist in the proper operation of all manufacturer (Vertiv/Liebert) equipment present and discontinued, larger single phase and three phase UPS equipment
- Assist in the use of the power quality meters, thermoscan cameras and their report writing software
- Wiring work performed is neat, looks like quality and resembles high quality OEM construction
- Maintains a sufficient level of understanding the NEC
- Works in a safe manner, knowledgeable of and follows industry standard safety practices including knowledge of OSHA, UL508A and NFPA 70E guidelines and requirements
- Maintains an acceptable personal driving record relative to points, accidents and safe driving habits within the company vehicles
- Professional interface with company staff, site end users, contractors, engineers, etc.
- Fills out company paperwork (time sheets, expenses, individual outlook calendar, etc.) in a prompt and accurate manner
- Prepares accurate and professional-looking reports of tested or maintained equipment
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY
- One-year certificate from college or trade school; and two-year related Power Service experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience with working with Vertiv (Liebert) or similar equipment preferred
- Experience with working with generators and automatic transfer switches preferred
- Proficient in Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel
- Valid driver’s license
- Excellent customer service skills and experience
- Available to perform scheduled on-call & overtime duties

The salary pay range is $23.00-$33.00 plus car allowance and bonus
