The Generator Service Manager is responsible for supervising, managing, and supporting the Generator Service business. This Manager is expected to oversee startup, maintenance, repair and modification of power generating equipment and related equipment. Interact with the service and sales coordinators to manage project scheduling, workforce utilization, parts availability, and ticket process (from creation to invoice), and overall workflow. The Manager will interact with the Power Systems sales team to ensure profitability, proper implementation, and customer satisfaction of systems sold and serviced by DVL Group.

WHAT YOU WOULD BE DOING
- Manage day-to-day operations of Generator Service work, including interfacing with DVL financial and project management software (Acumatica and HubSpot).
- This position is also the escalation contact for all service work and ultimately responsible for the outcomes of all service work, financial performance as well as customer experience.
- Actively participate in the financial performance and meeting monthly/annual goals of the business (closing tickets).Manage start-up and commissioning projects. Directs team of installing contractors. Responsible for completing the turnover of equipment to customer/owner.
- Developing and optimizing workflow processes and managing Key Performance Indicators.
- Ensure Technicians are properly trained, equipped, and certified to perform assigned ticketed work safely.
- Stands up communication process for near-real time field activities to all stakeholders within the generator business. (Tech, coordination, sales, management).
- Review daily service tickets and assure that repair quotes are submitted to the customer quickly and accurately.
- Interface with the customer on a professional basis and presents DVL Group in a positive light. Presents self as a senior representative of the company.
- Responsible for maintaining Generator service department safety compliance. Works in a safe manner. Fully understands and applies industry standard safety practices including OSHA, NFPA70E, MSDS, and all applicable work-related safety standards. Monitors, and enforces technician’s compliance to those practices and company safety policies.
- Responsible for leading and managing the service team including completing annual performance appraisals and personal goal setting.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY
- Post high school education required. Engineering, Business Management or similar degree preferred.
- Electrical certification
- At least 5 years of recent experience as a service manager in a similar industrial service business.
- Experience in leading and managing a service team.
- Recent experience with establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Recent experience with reading and understanding electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, service manuals, panels and meters.
- OSHA 10 preferred, and some safety training required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, experience in Acumatica and HubSpot preferred.
- Valid driver’s license to drive to customer sites.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Available to perform scheduled on-call duties in the surrounding area as back up to the technicians.

The pay range is $137.00/yr. - $155.00/yr. based on relevant experience plus bonus, work truck (or car allowance), laptop and iPhone.
