Director of Power Generation Sales

Department: Generator Sales
Location: Centennial, CO

The Director of Power Generation Sales is responsible for the sales of DVL’s Power Generation business and the leadership and direction of the sales teams. Responsibilities include direction and management of commercial and industrial generator sales, automatic transfer switches, power busbar and power distribution switchgear for the industrial markets DVL’s territory. Presently this includes, Colorado, New Mexico & Southern Wyoming.

WHAT YOU WOULD BE DOING

  • Lead and direct the power generations systems sales and supporting teams based in Colorado and New Mexico. This team is responsible for the sales and management of Generac Energy Systems, which includes generators, battery-energy storage systems and automatic transfer switches.
  • Develop and execute sales plans to achieve and exceed company revenue targets.
  • Identify high-opportunity markets and create territory coverage strategies to capture business in these markets.
  • Interface with Generac sales management on regular basis and report on sales pipeline, growth areas and business execution.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Director to formulate marketing campaigns, creation and execution of technical training seminars and additional market outreach programs.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Territory Sales Director to cross-promote power distribution solutions from other DVL represented manufacturers, Vertiv and Russelectric, in the industrial application market.
  • Promote and advocate emerging generation technologies offered by represented manufacturers as well as engineering services from DVL. This includes maintaining a technical presence with the consulting engineering community, significant end-users, market influencers and local professional organizations.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY

  • High School degree required. College degree preferred
  • At least 7 years of progressive relevant technical sales experience
  • At least a few years or recent and relevant sales leadership experience
  • Technical understanding of generators, automatic transfer switches and battery storage systems and their applications.
  • Experience selling similar electrical products & services in Colorado, New Mexico & Southern Wyoming is preferred.
  • Familiarity with the National Electric Code
  • Basic understanding of NFPA 70E & OSHA electrical safety regulations.
  • High level of Microsoft Office Suite proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, PowerPoint).
  • A general understanding of the Construction Design-Bid Build & Design-Build processes.
  • Valid driver's license to travel to local customer sites

The pay range is $130,000/yr. - $176,000/yr. based on relevant experience, plus bonus, laptop, and iPhone.
